Advanced Portfolio - Introduction To The A2 Course and Project

Over the course of this project i intent to create ultimately a Digipack, which See's the intertexuality media. I have decided to pursue music promotion in terms of creating a music video on the back of a track of an established artist and band and therefore a poster and album cover also which conveys the lyrics and the genre of the band and music.

I intent for the next three weeks to narrow down from a broad spectrum my music preferences via research and elimination in terms of genre , bands and lyrics which i am interested in by critically analysing and finding relate able and workable lyrics. (i intend for my research to take approximately 3 weeks)

At the moment I am going to be focusing on a number of genres such as :-

• Indie ( Scouting for girls , Alphabeat , The Klaxons,Okaygo )
• Pop (Take That ,Girls Aloud , The Saturdays,Michael Jackson )
• Rock (Oasis ,Radiohead)
• RNB (Neyo , Kelly Rolland)
• Country Western (Taylor Swift)

As well as collaborations of genres which I am then hoping will lead me into the avenue of bands and lead me to songs and eventually to my chosen avenue.

Also I will be considering eras such as 70's , 80's all the way to the 20th century which will in term shape my approach and style of music.
